Day 28. The seeds have sprouted
On Wednesday, as the capitulants came back to the chapter room after their free day, they saw that the seeds have sprouted and the plants are growing. The introduction of the prayer reminded them that they are called by God every day to bring life to wherever they are. They shared bread to symbolize how they share the same future. In the prayer they contemplated St. Madeleine Sophie Barat’s world: “Today, more than ever, people need to go inward, to learn to be the authors of their own lives, (…) with clear and noble objectives that motivate and encourage them to become what they are called to be”.
The capitulants then embarked upon the final stage of the Chapter, in which they will approve the final document of the Chapter and design the post-Chapter process. They will also decide how to communicate the Chapter decisions to the Society and its mission partners. Today they worked on these tasks in the groups of the proposed new provinces.
