Day 6: Preparing the soil

On Tuesday, the feast of the Transfiguration, during the morning prayer the capitulants asked for the Lord’s help to make room for grace. The text was from Revelations 21: “Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth”.

Today the Chapter entered into the second stage of its process, where the capitulants had the opportunity to touch on some of the sensitive points in the Body, to become aware of the faith-transforming journey they have lived and how this journey had changed them.

The day was dedicated to conversations. First the capitulants of the current provinces had the opportunity to talk about what they wish to share with the capitulants of their new province about the experience of loss and mourning that they are living in this time of change of structure in the Society.

The morning continued with sharing among the members of the new provinces followed by a personal reflection, after which the group expressed what they heard with a common metaphor. In the afternoon, the capitulants explored possible ways to accompany the members of the province. The day ended with a plenary.
