Day 22. The Journey Continues

Thursday began with the second “Expand Your Tents” session, where the whole Society was able to join via Zoom to get a more in-depth presentation of the events of the past few days and to ask any questions they might have. After a short prayer, two capitulants, Antonella Aloisi and Blandine Basosa, shared their personal experiences during the election process. Then Barbara Dawson introduced the new Superior General, Claire Castaing, who greeted the sisters with a short speech.

Once the Zoom had finished, the capitulants continued with their task; to identify what needs of the Society the new General Council will have to respond to and what their role should be within the Society’s new global structure. The capitulants worked in their new province groups, conducted one-on-one conversations, and had some time for a personal reflection in a prayerful atmosphere.

The day ended with a plenary, in which the nomination process continued.
