Synthesis Subcommittee meeting in Rome

The members of the Synthesis Subcommittee met at the Mother House in Rome, Italy from March 1 to 6, 2024. The purpose of the meeting was to read, reflect and synthesize the Provincial / District Chapter Reports together as a committee, and then conclude the Synthesis report that we have been working on since January 2024. We met with the General Council twice to share our observations, questions, and to go over our initial drafts with them before we produced the final report. The Synthesis report takes the main focus of the General Chapter 2024 from the different Provincial / District Chapter reports. It will be sent to the delegates to the General Chapter and to all members of the Society to read it as a guide to our continued reflection and discernment about the future of the Society in the new organization.

The members of the Committee are grateful for this opportunity to receive the life of our sisters through these reports and to witness their deep commitment in the seeking of what the Spirit moves us to live with courage and confidence for transformation.
